Review for Veronika Decides to Die by: Paulo Coelho

“Veronika Decides to Die is a bold, illuminating, and exuberant story about appreciating each day of life as a renewed opportunity” – I forgot who said it 😦

It is a story of a young woman who decided to kill herself thinking she had experienced everything, but ended up that life has more to offer rather than what she had thought.

The characters in the story added more fire than ever. They are well-made and well-described which radiates the true meaning of being I~N~S~A~N~E. Let’s start the line-up to those characters who I think made a great impact in my life. VeRoNiKa – she symbolizes the fear of exploring new things. She thinks that everyday is the same as yesterday. She’s the reason why a lot of characters changed their views in life from being pessimistic going to optimistic thinking. ZEDka – she symbolizes the life of a person who wants to have his/her own world. According to her, all of us are crazy. MaRi – symbolizes the courage of a person to go out of his/her own comfort zone just to experience the true meaning of life. Lastly, EduaRD – he’s the perfect symbol of a person who uses love as the greatest cure for all kinds of sickness. 🙂

Actually, I easily got hooked in this book from the very start until the end. Paulo Coelho is really a genius! He knows how to entertain his readers. Brilliant! It is really true that: “Every few decades a book was published that will change the life of its reader forever.”

For me, this book was a story of living when you know that death is hunting you down. It made me reminiscence my childhood days, and it made me cry over a spilled milk. What a fabulous story! Words are not enough to express all my praises in this book. It also treasures many lessons about life. First, it is not what’s happening in our body; its what’s happening in our soul. Meaning, others can see what’s happening in our body, but never in our soul. Second, anyone who lives in his/her own world is crazy. Third, INSANITY is the inability to communicate our ideas. Fourth, we cannot enjoy life if we do not go out of our comfort zone. Finally, I learned the two hardest tests on the spiritual road: The Patience to wait for the right moment, and The Courage not to be disappointed with what you encounter.

This book will teach us to imagine beyond our inabilities. I’m HIGHLY RECOMMENDING this book to all of you friends and fellas 🙂 The story brought a great impact in my life which is now imprinted in the deepest part of my heart. Hope you will also do the same and hope it will brought the same impact in your life guys. 😉

God Bless fellas 🙂

Review for Eleven Minutes: by Paulo Coelho

“It is not TIME that changes man, nor KNOWLEDGE; the only thing that can change someone’s mind is LOVE.” An inspiring line from the book. 🙂

Paulo Coelho once again wrote an inspiring book which will shiver your skin to a state of Goosebumps. 🙂
As I was roaming the mall, I always find time to go to the nearest bookstore and buy a book. Looking all over the shelves, I found Coelho’s book all arranged in one corner. Knowing that all his books are awesome, I decided to grab another book written by him. Surprisingly, I found “Eleven Minutes” to be such an interesting book.

Absolutely, I did not regret my decision. 🙂
Every page of this book was really disturbing in a way that it will change your views about “sex” and “prostitutes.” I believe that Coelho wrote a masterpiece.

I learned a lot of things about viewing life in a positive way, and changing old things to a better new way.

To inspire you to grab this book, I will summarize what I have learned, and these are:

“Every challenges that we encounter are just part of our lives in order to mold us to be a better person. If we let it to overcome us, then we loose a chance of a lifetime. But if we overcome it, then we become a better person. Taking risk is better than not taking anything at all. Playing safe is only a necessity to those people who wants to be stuck up in a state where they’re currently belong, but to those who wants to find the adventure of life and see what lies ahead the store, they will try to play it the way it should be even though it means risking their lives. You cannot achieve anything if you do not go out of your comfort zone. Seeking what is not around is better than seeking what you already know.
If you love a person, it doesn’t mean that you have to go to bed with him/her and promise him/her everything. After getting what you want, you will leave him/her and say that it was the best thing. That’s stupid B****!! The truth is this: If you love a person, you will not only touch her/him, but you should also unite with his/her soul and feel the things he/she is feeling. Because pure love means loving her/him beyond what we cannot see. For not all things that are seen by the naked eye are true.
Another point, I learned that living to achieve our dreams means risking everything we had, for better days and better things are yet to come.
Most importantly, I learned that we should learn how to ask and throw away that “shameful” attitude. For in asking, we will learn a lot of things. If we do not learn how to ask, we will be as ignorant as before. According to others, we will be a coconut with nothing inside, but beautiful outside.”

Hope you enjoy what are my insights about this book. Thanks!!

God Bless. 🙂
